WB anchors and other refractory anchors fabricated at Inventory Sales Company are frequently used as a “wearable” and replaceable anchor in many industries, but the most common uses are for interior insulating walls made of castable or refractory cement (most commonly used), or similar structures for power plants, reactors, kilns, high-temperature metallurgical casting equipment, ovens, and turbine housings (power plants). Essentially, these refractory anchors are used inside cement insulation for high temperature and/or high vibration environments. With their high melting temperatures or deformational creep, these types of anchors are extremely durable, but also, there is the expectation that they will be worn during their application. Replacement of refractory anchors depends on the use and whether they are designed as part of the cement insulation itself, or as anchoring for other parts.
